MEET THE TEAM
Alicia & Kevin Kubeczka - Owners
Alicia grew up taking dance and gymnastics, which ultimately led her to become a competitive cheerleader. She cheered and won a National Championship in college at Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State University. Alicia began coaching gymnastics and cheer at 15 and has over 20 years of experience managing gymnastics facilities.

Throughout her career, Alicia also gained valuable experience working in both the oil & gas industry and the certification & audit industry. With her husband Kevin, who has over 30 years of land development and construction experience, they decided to make their dream a reality by purchasing land and building Republic Gymnastics & Dance from the ground up.

As the owner and operator, Alicia loves to be heavily involved in the day-to-day operations, ensuring the best experience for every participant at Republic Gymnastics & Dance.
Kristi Mattheessen - Gym Facility Director
Kristi transitioned into the gymnastics industry from the Montessori sector and initially worked as an office employee under Alicia's management for several years. She then ventured into real estate development, where she gained invaluable business knowledge. With her exceptional work history, gymnastics facility experience, and general business acumen, she was the perfect choice for the role of office manager at Republic Gymnastics & Dance.

Since joining the team from day one, Kristi has expanded her role to become the facility director, taking on a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the smooth and successful operation of Republic Gymnastics & Dance.
Christina Sefara - Artistic Dance Director
Christina, a native Houstonian, is extensively trained in all styles of dance, acrobatics, theater, and voice. With over 15 years of teaching experience, she has been the Artistic Director of Republic Gymnastics & Dance since its inception in 2018. Christina oversees the vision and direction of the program and is a lead teacher and choreographer for Republic Edge.

She enjoys teaching master classes throughout Houston and judging dance competitions nationwide for Kids Artistic Revue, Rainbow National Talent, and Ultra Dance Competition. Christina's choreographed pieces have earned numerous awards, national championships, and two Industry Dance Awards nominations. Her students have been accepted into prestigious programs and teams, and some have become dance teachers and choreographers themselves.

She is passionately committed to teaching at Republic, loves her students, and continues to educate herself on the evolving dance industry.
